I just want to thank Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home for a job well done. My grandmother passed suddenly on August 10, and was funeralized August 17, 2016.  This being the first funeral I’ve had to plan, I wasn’t really sure where to start.  My husband had personal and professional experience with Tony and Kim and recommended that I try their services.  I am so happy I did..  Starting with Kim and Trenice, they were very personable, patient and compassionate.  I never felt pressured to purchase anything extra and the prices were very reasonable.  They walked me through the process and everything went smoothly.  The day of the service I was very impressed.  My grandmother looked beautiful, Kim and PJ did an excellent job with her hair and makeup. The staff that was at the service handled everything with great care and were very professional.  Not only that, they were dressed sharp.  The vehicles were clean and up-to-date. I am so pleased with Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home.  I hope not to need funeral services anytime soon, but when and if I do, I will definitely patronize Briscoe-Tonic.  I will continue to highly recommend and refer their services.  Thank you Tony, Kim and the Briscoe-Tonic team!!

I was at Michael Darnell Tucker Jr’s funeral today.  There were so many moving parts but may I say, “ya’ll nailed it”.  From the kindness of the usher people to the white stretch limo for Michael’s Mom, the ease with which the casket was closed…nothing could have been more perfect.  I’m one of Michaels ER nurses…he called me his “Fav”.  I have never been to a service that moved as smoothly or was as moving.  Thank you, from the top and bottom of my heart!

Your staff and services was absolutely the best.  We are totally grateful that we had what we considered the most professional and warmest experience any family could have had during a time of loss.  Your attention to detail and steadfastness in insisting everything was well thought out and executed was beyond our expectations.  It was evident that all of your staff was well trained and highly focused on professionalism, respect and kindness.  Somehow I know our mother would not have wished anything to have been different.  I must say, all of the preplanning was something all should consider.  By having done this ahead of time, it actually afforded all of the family more time to spend together without the rigors of coming to agreements and the vast amount of coordination involved.  We are completely satisfied with the services as well as the costs and would greatly recommend your business to anyone who would want to ensure the best family experience possible.

Our Dad passed November 6 after a long illness.  I had made the decision to use Briscoe-Tonic’s services after a brief phone call with Kim.  We went to her office and she did all she could to take a very solemn occasion and while we did not forget why we were there she made it a pleasurable experience.  Dad was what we all called vain about his looks and attire…everything had to match and every hair had to be in place.  So needless to say I was very much concerned with how he would look when we saw him again. I had no reason to worry.  When we went in for the viewing Dad looked as if were peacefully sleeping and had not a care in the world.  I want to Thank Kim and Tony and the whole staff for all of their care and concern for us who are left behind with all of our memories and for taking care of Dad on his final journey.

A funeral is a trying and emotional time for family members. The funeral home staff and the funeral director are there to make time as easy as possible for the family.

I just wanted to take a few moments to express to you my gratitude for the beautiful funeral services that you provided for our family in the passing of my Brother (James Edward “Jitter” Butler, Jr.). I was concerned about the way he would look like because he had lost so much weight, but you did a wonderful job he was very handsome.

I was very pleased with the professionalism you and your staff provided. Job was well done. I know sometimes you only get to hear of the bad things not the good.
Thank you for being one of those people.

Kim I am writing a testimonial for your website. Your funeral home made my mom feel so welcomed that when she came home from there she felt at ease making plans for my grandmother’s funeral. When I finally had the opportunity to meet you, your personality was so welcoming and made me feel so at ease and like we were the only ones that mattered. When your husband came to pick up my grandmother’s body he did it with such respect. He was so kind to our family and treated us with respect. My mom came to your funeral home after going to another funeral home and being shocked at the cost and coldness of the staff. Your prices were very reasonable and affordable. The services we received for the amount we paid were well worth it. I would recommend your funeral home to anyone who wanted to have a family experience. Someone who wants to feel warm and embraced and not be treated coldly and like they are just another customer.

Thank you and your staff for all you did for me and my family and for my grandma.

I just wanted to thank you all again for the wonderful job you did. Everyone was very helpful, kind and caring to myself and my family throughout the week (8-15-11) of my Mom’s passing. Terry, was especially helpful through the whole process as well. It still amazes me how my Mother came in to see you a long time ago and picked things out to prepare for her “Final Journey”…..almost like she knew she’d be in good hands and you guys would take care of things and “Her”. I know she is looking down from Heaven and saying…”WOW…everything I planned for turned out GREAT”…and I’m sure she is sending a warm thank you your way as well. So to you, your family and staff my sister and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Take Care and God Bless.

The Ashton family would like to send our thanks and appreciation to you and your staff for the great care and loving way you presented and made final arrangements for Thomas Ashton.
We were very pleased with how everyone involved at Briscoe-Tonic acted in a very compassionate, friendly, and thoughtful way in helping the extended Ashton family and friends say good-bye to our beloved dad, brother, uncle, friend, etc.

Our family could tell from our first meeting with you that we made the right decision to ask Briscoe-Tonic to make final preparations for dad’s burial. Each step was handled in a professional, family-oriented manner. You were always accessible when we needed you, prompt, thorough, and courteous. We couldn’t have asked for more.

It was difficult saying goodbye to dad, but you made the process easier as we know that we entrusted him to a group of people who cared about him and his family.
Thank you.

I wanted to thank you and your staff for the exceptional service that my family received while arranging my father’s funeral arrangements. We were so pleased with the service that we received and everyone agreed that you and your staff did a wonderful job. Everyone agreed that “he looked so much like himself.”

We especially wanted to thank you for the lovely photo of my father that you displayed during the service. This was a wonderful surprise when we all saw that beautiful photo. I would like to know how I can get more copies of that photo. Everyone loves the photo and we would definitely like to know how we can get more copies.

All of my family and friends will definitely spread the word about the wonderful service that we received at your funeral home. Although dealing with death is not an easy experience, you managed to make us feel at ease. Everyone at Brisce-Tonic Funeral Home was professional, knowledgeable, caring and supportive. We felt comfort in knowing that my father’s homegoing would be a beautiful experience.

On behalf of the Hodo family, we want to extend our gratitude regarding the outstanding service we received from you and your staff at your beautiful funeral home.
From start to finish, your customer service was outstanding with my uncle’s service. Even my Aunt Helen was impressed. Kim, when we saw our uncle in that casket, he looked really good! The make-up and set-up was exceptional.

I’ve even had a couple of my customers from our family business compliment on your professionalism and based on our experience, I have no doubt that your business will succeed. Shoot, when it’s time for me to go that’s where I’ll be!

We will definitely spread the word! Take care and much success.

It is with sincere gratitude and high regard that I write this letter of recommendation for Kimberly Briscoe-Tonic, owner and manager of Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home in Waldorf, Maryland. Kimberly and her staff provided outstanding service to our family in the planning and implementing of final arrangements for my father.

From the beginning, Kimberly proved to be professional and knowledgeable in every aspect of her business. After visiting a number of funeral homes in the area, I knew right away that Briscoe-Tonic was the right choice for my father. Kimberly provided all the information I needed within minutes, whereas others did not have the information available or had to get back with me. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that the funeral costs were cheaper than what my father had originally been quoted in rural North Carolina.

Kimberly was well informed on the protocol involved in a full military honors funeral at Arlington National Cemetery, and served as an excellent liaison in handling matters with Arlington officials. In addition, she personally escorted the processional to Arlington to make sure that every detail was performed according to plan. Kimberly and her staff treated my father with great respect and our family and friends with genuine compassion. She went out of her way to open the doors at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home so that family could visit at different times, and took care of every detail of the viewing and funeral. Furthermore, she obtained a hotel bereavement discount for out-of-town guests and provided excellent design and printing of funeral announcements and prayer cards, as well as video services.

My father was an honorable military officer who lived his life in service to God, his country, and others. Briscoe-Tonic paid tribute to that life by ensuring that his final arrangements were carried out with that same dignity and respect. We are grateful and privileged to have experienced such a beautiful ending to a remarkable life.
