On January 11, 2020, with her loving family by her side, Winnie Joy Wright earned her heavenly wings. Born July 20th, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Wanda and CDR Paul Bruneau and Clyde Cuthrell.
She was employed with the Naval Research Lab and retired from IAMAW. She loved sewing and spending time with her family.
Winnie was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wright.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy Warner (Kermit) and brother, Marcus Wohl (Donna-deceased). Also surviving, her niece, Amanda Warner-Hofmann (Chris Hofmann); great-nephews, Parker and Hudson, and great-niece, Allie Joy.
A celebration of Winnie’s life will take place on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2671 Mattawoman Beantown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601. Friends may call from 10:00am until 11:00 am; a funeral service and remembrance will begin at 11:00 am with a repast following. Interment will take place at a later date at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland.
