Pastor Willie Swinney, Sr., went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 20, 2020. Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life Saturday, January 25, 2020 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Outreach Christian Center, 6701 Clinton Manor Dr., Clinton, MD. Interment in Rockingham, NC.

My heartfelt condolences to Dr. Betty and the Swinney family. My life has forever been changed by the teaching of Pastor Swinney and the love and compassion he showed to everyone. I will continue to pray for his family and the church family.
Today I saying well done to giant who was prolific and a voice of our generation. He was a pillar to the DC Metropolitan Area. He was a public servant. He never wavered. He was passionate about his beliefs. He stood tall. A man of integrity and merit.
I met Dr. Swinney in 1988. Him and my grandmother introduced me to Christ. OCC became a safe haven for alot of ppl. Pastor Swinney was a private person. He love to ride his harleys and listen to music. But he helped people. He never broadcast his good deeds. Or brag. At times we honest debates. But at the end of the day he operated in love. The great gifts i received from Pastor was wisdom,truth and love. He taught me to never walk in people’s shadow. And operate in my gifts. We shared a common interest. We both love music. He was a trained singer and guitarist.
All i can say is congratulations OG you did it. You made a difference. You was an impact. Your legacy started when god called you home. To the family and friends, earth has no sorrow. In the bible it teach us that our creator create a room for us. A place where we can dwell with him.
He was dedicated to serving god and serving ppl. He made many sacrifices. He loved us. I loved him back. Ministry healed him.
I believe no i know Pastor received his reward in heaven.
To the legacy of Willie G. Swinney continue to Serve god be unapologetic.

A heart to serve
Be learnable
But most importantly love one other.
Lets face it the world needs ppl like us to heal our world. To make a difference. Dr. Swinney give us the tools to so. It no more excuses. Your decisions is your decisions. I am going to make Jesus proud. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your legacy..
