On Saturday, November 26, 2022, Wallace V. Hayden Jr. departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 10:00am until time of service, 11:00am, at Real Power AME Church, 10201 Old Indian Head Rd., Upper Marlboro, Maryland, 20772. Interment will be held at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Even though I was not able to see Mr Hayden, aka “Sparky” in my more mature years of life, he was very instrumental in my upbringing as a young immature adolescent. I will always be grateful for some of the stories/lessons he shared with me as he was raising his very own children, which often time I got caught up in as if I were one of them.
