
Timothy Wayne Osborn, aka “The Woodman”, 72, of Waldorf, MD, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. He was born July 4th, 1944 in Washington, DC, and raised on his family farm in Waldorf. He was the son of the late Carroll and Emily Osborn. He went to school at LaPlata High School in LaPlata, MD. Tim retired from Safeway after working 30 years as a meat cutter. However, he will be most remembered as, “The Woodman” after serving the tri-county area for 35+ years delivering firewood and doing tree removal services. His trucks were commonplace on Southern Maryland’s roads, loaded down with firewood for his beloved customers. Timothy is survived by his wife, Rosemary Osborn of Waldorf; daughter, Ramona Osborn of Moultrie, GA; son, Loyall Osborn of Prince Frederick, and daughter in law Jeniffer Osborn of Prince Frederick; one granddaughter, Bianca Osborn, and twin grandsons, Carson and Aiden Osborn; siblings: Paul, Charles, Page, Russell and Nathan, all of Waldorf. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Osborn; and sister, Joanne Pirner. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home in Waldorf. Visitation: Saturday, April 22nd at 10 a.m. Service: Saturday, April 22nd at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at The Osborn family cemetery, Mill Hill Road, Waldorf, MD.
