He was raised in Montgomery County, MD and attended Gaithersburg High School.Upon graduation in 1998, Stefan attended Montgomery College where he played football and basketball. His talents were recognized with an athletic scholarship to play football at Hampton University. As a member of the Pirate’s Offensive Line, he started both seasons. In May 2004, he graduated with his B.A. in Political Science and returned to the DC area where he worked for Sprint, then as a Manager for Downtown Locker Room. Seeking to utilize his Political Science background, he began a career with the District of Columbia Board of Elections and Ethics. Always one to push himself to the next level, this past fall, Stefan began pursuing a Masters of Public Administration from the University of the District of Columbia. Stefan was extremely excited to be enrolled in school again and was looking forward to advancing his Political Science career. Stefan was a spiritual man and enjoyed life. He surrounded himself by friends and family and had a passion for football. He was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan. Stefan’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile and hearty laughter brought so much joy to his friends and family. He will be fondly remembered as a genuine person with a big heart…a gentle giant.
