
Sieglende “Linda” Thompson, 53 of Lexington Park, MD, was born on January 3, 1966, in Sulzback-Rosenberg, Germany, and was called to glory on October 17, 2019 at St. Mary’s Nursing Home in Leonardtown, MD. Linda was the daughter of the late Christen Karl Herbst and Erna Ida Kuschel.
On February 12, 2016 at the Courthouse in Leonardtown, MD, she married the love of her life, Alan Wendell Thompson.
She worked as a Production Worker for 28 years at Siemens in Amberg, Germany. She came to the United States in 2016 where she worked at Walmart as a Deli Associate and at SSI as an Assembly Worker. When Linda was not working, she enjoyed dining with friends and family at local restaurants. When Linda was in Germany, she enjoyed traveling and visited many places in Europe even making a trip to the United States visiting a dear friend in San Francisco. Her special moments were spent going out on the water with her husband (an avid fisherman) and playing with their dog (or as she affectionately called him her son) Rambo, who they rescued from the Animal Shelter.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her beloved husband, Alan Wendell Thompson; her siblings, Gunter Herbst (Silva Pickt), Petra Wittmann (Florian), Silva Herbst (Erwin) and Anita Kuschel; her sisters-in law, Joyce Thompson-Berry and Deborah Thompson; her brother in-law, Clifton Thompson; her nieces and nephews, Lisa, Eva, and Jan Wittmann, Jana and Mara Herbst, Michael Kuschel, Jasmine and Anthony Berry and Cedric, Cameron and Camille Thompson and a host of family and friends.
Family and friends will unite on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 for visitation at 11 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 22375 Three Notch Rd, Lexington Park, MD 20653. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
