
On Tuesday, November 15, 2016, Preston Roosevelt Martin Jr., answered God’s call and entered eternal rest at the Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Preston was born on November 28, 1951, to Margaret Harris and the late Preston Roosevelt Martin Sr. in Washington DC. He was lovingly known to his family and friends as “Chopper”.
Preston was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Leroy and Gary and 1 sister, Annie. Left to cherish his memories; daughter, Crystal; son, Preston David; grandchildren, Asha, Christopher, India and Tayler; mother, Margaret Harris; sisters, Lenora, Ruth , Marguerite Jeanette; brothers, Keith and Anthony; special brother-in-law, Ned Peake; sister-in-law, Paulette and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 am, at John Wesley AME Zion Church, 14th and Corcoran St. NW, Washington, DC.
My most heartfelt condolences go out to Mr. Martin’s family. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories as you celebrate his life and the joyful times you had together. Also may the family have hope, faith and trust in God’s promise of seeing our loved ones again. John 11:25
