Paul Rena Harvey

pro-pic

Paul Rena Harvey was called to eternal rest on September 15, 2010 at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland.

On January 16, 1954, Paul was born to Mildred Savoy and the late Paul Harvey. As Paul embarked on his life’s journey, he acquired the affectionate but obvious nickname “Baby Brother.” A name he came by, when his inquisitive sister, Connie, innocently asked her mother upon arriving home from the hospital with Paul in her arms, “Who is that?” His mother looked at him with a smile on her face and proudly replied, “That’s your baby brother!” From that day on and throughout his life, family and many friends affectionately called him by the name he acquired and yet ever so proudly wore as a badge of honor “Baby Brother.”

Paul was educated in the Prince George Public School System and graduated from Croom Vocational Technical High School in Upper Marlboro, Md. He touched so many people lives with his generous heart, candid but hilarious comments, enormous grin and hearty laughter. His memory will never fade nor tarnish because these simple but memorable things about “Baby Brother” will stay in our hearts forever.

Paul leaves a legacy of love for his family: “wife-at-heart” of 21 years, Janet Myers; daughter, Paula Harvey; son, Rodney Harvey; four sisters, Connie Savoy, Sylvia Taylor (Randolph, Sr.), Octavia Briscoe (James), Dawn Henderson; two brothers, Randy Mathis, Kenneth Hoff; three grandchildren, Alexia King, Kendell King, Za’hriyah Harvey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
