Patricia Arlene Ball

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteous…” – II Timothy 4:7-8Patricia Arlene Bennett-Ball was born on December 9, 1958 and departed this life on earth to be with the Lord, suddenly on April 18, 2020 due to health complications. She was born in Leonardtown Hospital, Leonardtown, Maryland to Shirley T. Bennett-Dickerson and the late James A. Bennett. She was the fourth child of five daughters.Patricia graduated from Great Mills High in 1976. She was employed by the Federal Government and the State of Maryland. She was also employed as a Patient Registration at Civista Hospital, La Plata, MD, as a caseworker at Freedom Landing, the Department of Social Services, and Three Oak Homeless Shelter, in Lexington Park, MD. She was also a volunteer with the African Historical Museum at St. Peter Claver Church, in St. Inigoes, MD, and was a member of AmeriCorps.Patricia accepted the Lord as her Savior as a young child at St. Peter Claver Church. She actively participated in the choir, bible study, missions, and other church functions. She was known as “Ms Pat”, Ms Ball”, Ms Patricia”, Ms Tricia”, “Mommy Ball”, “Queen B”, “Patty B”, and “Granny.” Patricia had much praise, joy and love for the Lord she would spread it anywhere she went. She would resound an AMEN in all services. Her passion was to help people in any way she could, always being supportive lending a helping hand whether on the frontline, backline, or sideline of service. She would do it. She was determined, dependable, and dedicated throughout communities.Patricia lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed family and friends’ gatherings, mealtimes, bingo, musical activities, and just clean fun. Her favorite pastime was playing with her grandbabies and going fishing with Richard. Patricia was a true servant. She would spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone. She would open her arms stating “give me some love” hugging tightly and a hearty smile. She possessed the attribute and gift of encouragement and exhortation to the elderly and to the youth. Patricia would tell anybody, about somebody, who could save everybody, and whose name is JESUS. Letting them know that she loved them, and that God our Father loves them more than anything else. She would encourage whomever to trust God, for it is only by the Grace and Mercy of GOD that any of us are here. She shared how she welcomed God the Father and His Spirit into her life and that Jesus had “Paid the Price.” God gave Patricia a vision and a plan which she implemented called “The LOVE (Living, Out, Victoriously, Everyday) Ministry”. Her statement was “A change ain’t a change”, until YOU change”! Hearts were touched, missions accomplished, and people changed. Patricia believed and encouraged all by proclaiming “God Got It, and her, and indeed HE have her, she is now “Totally HEALED”. Halleujah!She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Shirley T. Bennett-Dickerson, of Lexington Park, MD, her daughters, Natosha Ball and Amy Hebb of Lexington, Park, MD, her grandchildren, Thomas Hill, Tome Hill, Mayill Barber, and Daymere Graham of Lexington Park, MD, her siblings, Pamela Curry, and Sandra Rowe (Larry) of Virginia Beach, VA, Sylvia Clinton, and Claudette Bennett of Lexington Park, MD, four aunts: Mary Catherine Allen, of Lexington Park, MD, Barbara Ann Butler (Patrick) of St. Inigoes, MD, Carolyn Ross of Virginia Beach, VA, and Marie Scott, of PA, one uncle, James Biscoe (Debbie) of PA, a dear companion, Richard Hebb of Lexington Park, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Patricia was preceded in death by her father, James A. Bennett, her godmother Margaret Allen and her niece Tamika Bryant.
