
Nathaniel Davis formerly of Charlotte, North Carolina died on July 6, 2011 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.
He was born on June 19, 1922 in Ellenton, South Carolina but spent most of his childhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. He became a member of a church in Charlotte and served on the Deacon’s board and also served as an usher. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was honorable discharged in 1945.
In 1952, Nathaniel started his own business, Nathaniel Davis Trucking. He owned a number of trucks and did runs throughout the country. He loved being a truck driver and meeting new people. He retired in 1995.
Nathaniel will be remembered for his willingness to give and help in anyway he could. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Hill; sisters Mary Davis and Martha Lynch of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 11:30am – 12:30 pm here at the Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home in Waldorf, MD. Interment immediately following the visitation at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
