Beloved wife of the late Eddie Battle; loving mother of Lucy (Samuel) Straite, Catherine Hawkins, the late Helen Tonic, Maxine Simmons, Alice Cooks and Eddie McCarthy Battle. She is also survived by sisters, Alice Daniels and Mabel McNeil; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
