Peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 Lothia Givens departed this earthly life. Family and friends will unite on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10:00am until time of service 11:00am at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church 1615 3rd Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. Interment will follow at Harmony National Cemetery.
I saw Lo less than two weeks ago where she taught sewing at the Deanwood Recreation Center. It was a surprise to see her and she looked so vital. I took a picture of the group but unfortunately you can only see a portion of her head. We worked together and the Department of Housing and Community Development. She will be missed.
May the family find peace in the moment of sadness.
