Peacefully on July 13, 2016, Linroy Davis, Sr. departed this earthly life in Hyattsville, MD. Family and friends will unite on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 11:00 a.m until time of service at 12:00 noon at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home Chapel, 2294 Old Washington Rd., Waldorf, MD 20601. Internment to follow at Cheltenham cemetery.

Please find comfort in the words of our Savior Jesus (John 5:28,29) where he promise a resurrection of the righteous ones.
“Let not your hearts be troubled” (John 14:1). I extend these comforting words of Jesus to the Davis family and friends. My prayers are with all of you as you grieve. The loss of a loved one breaks into our lives like an irresistible force, often when we are completely unprepared and it robs us of those we hold dear. None of us are immune to its ravages. The reason we feel this way is because our Creator has “put eternity into our hearts” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). “God is love” (1John 4:8) and never intended for us to have to go through such pain. May you find comfort in God’s promise at Revelation 21:3,4 “…God himself will be with them. And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
