Leroy Arnold Bryan

Leroy Arnold Bryan, 60 of Park Hall, MD, departed life peacefully on September 18, 2015 at Hospice House, Callaway MD. Leroy was born April 21, 1955 to the late Robert G. Bryan and Margaret R. White Barnes. He was the brother of eleven siblings, James H. Bryan, Jasper Bryan (deceased), Honas S. Bryan (Carmel/deceased), Harry W. Bryan (Marilyn), Lesley A. Bryan (Linda), Sophia M. Townsend (Kenneth/deceased), Grace E. Taylor (Len), Hazel B. Hutcherson (Dennis/deceased), Pamela E. Roach (Christopher) and Nola M. Bryan and Valerie G. Bryan (deceased).

His home was always among loving and caring family members and friends while growing up in Scotland, MD and lived in California state for a part of his adult life near his sister Grace Taylor and returning to his hometown of St. Mary’s County to take part in raising and always encouraging and sharing his words of wisdom with many nieces and nephews.

Leroy was a lifetime member of St. Luke United Methodist Church where he attended until his health failed. Leroy was born and raised in Scotland, Maryland. He was educated at George Washington Carver School, Maryland and also grew up staying in touch with and hanging out with his life-long buddies – Dennis Hutcherson, Chester Barnes, Victor Briscoe, Eric Briscoe. He loved Redskins football team, cooking, dancing and could fix anything from the car to the house. He spent most of his career in the customer service field, working at various restaurants and delivering furniture. He always loved to scout out yard sales and thrift stores for a bargain.

He leaves to cherish his many memories, four brothers, James Bryan, Honas Bryan, Harry Bryan, Lesley Bryan and five sisters, Sophia Townsend, Grace Taylor, Hazel Hutcherson, Pamela Roach, Nola Bryan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will unite on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 for visitation at 10 am until time of service at 11 am at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 12880 Point Lookout Road, Scotland, MD. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
