Family and friends will unite on Saturday, July 23, from 9 A.M. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 11 A.M. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church 16922 St. Peter Claver Road, St. Inigoes, MD. Interment will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 25 at Maryland Veteran Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.

Joseph Allen Carroll was born to Mary Victoria Butler-Carroll and the late William Francis Carroll on August 28, 1944 in Beachville, MD. He was called home on July 17, 2011.
Joseph affectionately known as Joe, received his education at St. Peter Claver Elementary School and Cardinal Gibbons High School, graduating in 1964.
After graduating Joe joined the United States Army. During his tenure he served in Korea.

After his military service Joe lived in Baltimore for a short period of time where he was employed at Brooks-Huff Tire Company. Joe returned to Ridge after a few years. He worked for AFC Custodian Company and Miracle Cleaning Company; his last place of employment was at St. Mary’s College.

Joe loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports; his favorite was tennis, especially when the Williams sisters were playing. His favorite football team was whoever was winning. His favorite food was fried chicken. Joe’s Favorite pass time was cleaning his car, no matter when you saw his car it had a shine.

Joe was one of the best dressed men around, he was usually wearing a suit and he never forgot to put that handkerchief in his pocket. Joe loved to dance and you could count on hi busting a James Brown move. Joe was the life of the party.

He was preceded in death by his father William Carroll, his brothers Wayne and Kenneth Carroll and his sister Mary Veronica Carroll-Rothwell.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Mary Carroll, his sisters Lorraine Carroll- Jackson(John), Carolyn Wilson(James),and Angela Carroll; brothers Carl(Nola), Martin(Brenda),and James(Sharon) Carroll. A host of other relatives and friends. Joe’s hug and smile will be missed by all.
