He is survived by his loving wife, Viola Prescott: devoted children John III, James, Allen, Sandra, Carol and Sarah Prescott, JoeAnne Whigham, Barbara Tucker and Wiladean Johnson; two brothers, seven sisters, 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
