
John departed this life on September 28, 2010 at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, MD
He was born on February 6, 1946 to the late James (Lightning) Wills, Sr. and Rose Elizabeth (Farmer) Wills. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Agnes Head.
John was educated in the St. Mary’s County Public School System. As a teen he moved to Washington, DC and studied bricklaying. He became an accomplished builder/contractor, building private homes, government and commercial building including the 84 Lumber Companies throughout the country.
He leaves to cherish his memories: eight sons, John Jr., Christopher, Michael, Keith, John, Suess, Booney Wills, and Kenny Thomas; three daughters Martinae Wills, Kindell Wills-Ruthe and Cecily Green; six sisters, Helen Chase, Lucille Dorsey, Mary Parker, Rose Moore, Ruby Edelen, and Dorothy Clarke; three brothers Joseph Farmer, James Wills Jr. and Thomas Sylvester Wills; and a multitude of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
