Mr.John Cornelius Nelson Jr. departed this earthly life on Friday, August 18, 2023.
Family and friends will unite for a visitation on Friday, September 8, at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, 3600 Brightseat Rd., Landover, MD, 20785, visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.
Interment will be private.

Uncle Johnny was a great man. He was so quiet and always supportive of me and my children. Truly his love for his family was amazing. I am praying for my family during this difficult time. love you all.

My condolences to the family. Nelson was one of the most laid back people I met during my career at Metro. One thing I can say I never seen him get angry or upset. He was a great man to know and work with may God continue to give the Nelson’s strength during this difficult time.
