JOAN ALEASE JOHNSON TATE Departed this life on Monday, July 15, 2013 at her home in Springdale, MD. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Kent, Sr. and Derrick (Bernadette) Tate; three grandchildren, Kent (Mary), Jr., Darryl and T’keyah Tate; two great-grandchildren, Kemari and Jasiah Tate; a sister, Lisa Johnson; one brother, Calvin Harris, Sr.; four aunts, Maurice Johnson, Carasile (Harry) McDowney, Bessie (Johnnie) McDowney and Annette Brown (Robert); and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation on Saturday, July 20 from 12 noon until time of service, 1 p.m. at New Monrovia Baptist Church, 121 New Monrovia Rd., Colonial Beach, VA 22443. Interment Johnson family cemetery.
