Peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, Jimmie Lee Davis earned her heavenly wings and went home to be with the Lord. Friends may unite with the family on Thursday, April 28, from 10 am until time of service 11 am at Bibleway Temple 1100 New Jersey Ave NW Washington DC. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland Friday, April 29, 2016 at 9:30 AM.
Jimmie Lee was one of my vocal heroes growing up at Metropolitan Baptist Church, where she rocked the house leading “Old Ship of Zion” with the Chorus Choir (formerly Churchwide Chorus). – Dawn E. Robinson, Washington DC
