Jeanette Pfeiffer-Douros, 79, of Hagerstown,MD formerly of Lusby,MD, died of cardiomyopathy Jan. 5, 2010, at Julia Manor Healthcare Center, Hagerstown, MD.
Amongst her greatest passions were her flower gardening, her doll collections, cross-stitching, crocheting, and yard sales. She also held a special fondness for all animals.
Born Sept. 9, 1931, in England, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Pryor and the late Ada Murrell.
She was preceded in death by her former husband of 46 years, Ramon C.Pfeiffer, and her sisters, Ada Russell, Dot Leates, Doris Gidley, and Audrey (Doody) Pedley.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Douros of Hagerstown,MD; her sons and their spouses, Robert C. and Joan Pfeiffer of Punta Gorda,FL, Steven and Dorothy Pfeiffer of Hagerstown, MD, step-sons Robert and Perry Douros of MD, step-daughter, Alice Douros of Lusby, MD, sisters, Phyllis Cotterell and Joan Roberts of Southend on Sea, England, a special niece, Linda Dobbs of Southend on Sea, England, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A service was held Jan. 8 at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, Waldorf, MD, with the Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Burial took place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
