Peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 James O. Brake, Sr. went home to be with the lord. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, January 4, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope AME Church, 12310 Washington Sq, Waldorf, MD 20601. Interment is pending.

In Ms. Bee’s Bo Peep kindergarten, we called him ‘Oliver’, but by the time we got to 1st grade at Lincoln School, we called him ‘James’. Whatever the name, he was STILL the same…even through high school. James was a true friend through ALL those years, and he will be sorely missed by Rocky Mount classmates and friends.
