JAMES EDWARD NEWELL “ED” Peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2013, Ed, went home to be with the Lord. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Anna M. Newell; five devoted children, L’Tanya (Frederick) Quarles, Beverly (Vincent) Gore, Alicia Newell, Felicia Williams and Jamese Newell-Godwin.; two sisters, Margaret Bryant and Evelyn Fowler, 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
