
Ida Michelle Frenette 86 of Waldorf, Maryland died July 6, 2011 at home of Natural Causes.
She was born February 23. 1925 in Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Gerard Sinclair and Amelia Beauregard. She was the wife of the late Joseph Armand Frenette whom she married at the age of 22 in 1947.
Ida worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years. She retired in 1990 as an executive secretary working her way up from the cafeteria. She was a member of NARFE,USPSFCU, MOOSE LODGE, AND, AARP. She moved to the United States from Canada in 1928 with her family. They settled in Fall River Massachusetts. She became a citizen of the United States in 1958. She met and married her loving husband Joseph Armand Frenette in 1947 in Fall River, Massachusetts. They had their first daughter Diane in December 1948 and two years later in December 1950 their second daughter Doris followed. The family settled in Washington, DC. In the 1960’s the family moved to Forestville, Maryland where both she and her husband held government jobs. Ida stayed in Forestville until 2003 when she moved to White Plains, Maryland to be closer to her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She moved into Southwinds Senior Citizen Apartments. She would frequently enjoy pot luck dinners, pokeno, and bingo. Ida was also on dialysis at Fresenius in Waldorf, Maryland until recently. Unfortunately in 2010 she fell and broke her hip. Once she recovered she was unable to live alone so she moved in with her daughter Doris and her granddaughter Angie and two of her great grandchildren. She lived out her final days there her way. She was always happy and in good spirits and upbeat. Ida would always have a smile for you when she saw you and a hug to give you when you needed it.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Diane Frenette, her brother Maurice Sinclair, her sister Jean Smith, and her sister Terry Kenderick.
She is survived by her daughter Doris Barth, brother Raymond Sinclair, Son in law Ted Lewis
Grandchildren Lorrie VanMeter and her husband John, Angela Adelman, Kristen Lewis, Jason Lewis, Michael O’neill, great grand children Joseph Armand Frenette II, Madisen Adelman, David “Alex” Lewis- Jones, Bryan Lewis, Jennifer and Jinna VanMeter, Bebelyn DeLuna and great great grandson Garrett Kramer. She also has many nieces and nephews. Also Joan Edwards who is a very close family friend.
Arrangements are being handled by Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, P.A. 2294 Old Washington Road Waldorf, Maryland 20601. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 6pm -8pm at the Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home in Waldorf.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, July 11 at 11 am at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church 100 Village Street Waldorf, MD

She was a loving lady whom I had the great pleasure of meeting and getting to know. She was a great listener and great advice giver. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family
