HENRY W. HOLMES “Herk” Surrendered this life on October 23, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife, Ira L. Holmes; devoted children, Phyllis (Gregory) Lee, Delores Woods and Joseph (Carmaletha) Holmes, Sr., sister Fannye Holmes; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; family and friends. On Tuesday, October 30, Visitation 9:30 a.m. until Service 10:30 a.m. at St. John CME Church, 2801 Stanton Road SE, Washington, DC. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
