Howard F. Hardaway was born on January 24, 1924 to the late James and Love Hardaway. He was educated in the Public Schools of Crew, Virginia. He attended Virginia State College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in English.
Howard was a World War II Veteran, a member of Lincoln Temple in Washington DC and he also belonged to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Uncle Little Boy, as we called him, was more than just an uncle, he was our rock, our father, friend and mentor. There was not anything he would not do for us all if it were in his power. God blessed him with a sense of humor, always keeping us laughing in stitches.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Virginia Neal, Dorothy Wooley, Ida Jennings and Annie, Jordan and Robert Hardaway.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 12 Noon at Maryland National Cemetery in Laurel, MD.
