Peacefully on Friday, August 17, 2012 Eddie Lee Young was called home by the Lord. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26 from 4pm until 6pm here at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home 2294 Old Washington Road Waldorf, MD 20601, and on Monday, August 27, the family will unite with friends from1 PM until time of service 2 PM at Trinity Baptist Church 2671 Mattawoman-Beantown Rd Waldorf , MD 20601. Interment will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
A week ago today you took off for your final flight. Thank you for everything you allowed me to do to help prepare for that journey. It’s hard not to be sad but I’m still smiling inside at the secrets we shared but kept from Nanny, the memories you helped us make, the funny stories and sayings that were the very essence of you that come flying out of our mouths every single day. You were the epitome of a MAN, the pillar of integrity and honor, and the sharpest looking man on any dance floor. I love you, Dad. Say hello to my daddy and all our Kentucky folks for me.
