
Donnette Regina Walker-Lark, 64, of Fort Washington, Maryland peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Family and friends will unite on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs, 5600 Old Branch Avenue, Temple Hills, Maryland. Interment will be private.
Donnette Regina Walker was born July 5, 1948, the first child of William R. and Lillie Ruth Walker. Donnette, affectionately known as “Donnie,” departed this life on Sunday, January 13, following a long, valiant struggle against cancer.
Donnette was pre-deceased by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Harry T. Lark; three brothers, Ronald, Kenneth and Keith; three sisters, Peaches, Victoria (Melvin) and Tabia. Donnette also leaves two daughters, Angela Michelle (Terry Sr.) and Anna Maria; three granddaughters, Candace, Dyamond and Dyona; two grandsons, Malik and Terry, Jr; three great grandsons, Cameron, Kaleb and Chase; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins nieces, nephews and friends and a devoted step-father of 50+ years, Stephen Berry.
Donnette was educated in Washington, D.C. She retired from service after more than 30 years as a federal employee in management of Pell Grants at the U.S. Department of Education.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation for breast cancer research.
