Beloved husband of the late JoAnn Elizabeth Hawkins; devoted father of Dwayne, Derrick (Andrea), Donna, Darrin (Ina), Damon (Arisha), loving grandfather of Derrick Jr., Ashley, Briyana, Danielle, Darrin Jr., Damon Jr. Also survived by four sisters; two brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends. A retired employee of USPS. On Friday, September 14, 2012, friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 11 a.m. at Westphalia United Methodist Church, 9363 D’Arcy Road, Upper Marlboro, MD. Interment Washington National Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Arrangements entrusted to Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home.
