
Clarence Davis, son of the late Ruth Jimison and Step-Father Roosevelt Jimison, was born in Harlem, N.Y on July 14, 1931. Clarence attended New York City Public Schools. After graduating, Clarence served in the U.S. Air Force and completed his tour of duty at Ramsgate Air Force Base, England. After his honorable discharge, Clarence was employed with the U.S. Postal Service, until his retirement. Clarence also traveled with his brother in-law, the late singer, Clyde McPhatter, and good friend Bill Curtis of the Fat Back Band. Mr. Davis was well known and admired for his passionate attachment to fast cars, motorcycles and female comĀpanions. A devoted member of the Masonic Temple’s Enoch Lodge, Clarence will always be fondly remembered for his unfailing ability to laugh and enjoy life to the fullest! Clarence leaves to celebrate his life his daughters Carole D. Rose, Cheryl Davis, Lynette D. Smith, Tracey D. Taylor, Julie A. Davis, Brenda Y. Davis, Sharron Davis and Chrissy Davis. stepson Robert Da Shiell and sons in-law, Ray T. Rose and William Taylor, eight grandchildren Hakim, Kawana, Aura, Shana, Tais, Kenneth, Traci, and Uniquca and niece Damita London, and a host of cousins. A devoted companion, Estelle Hughes and her daughters Kim and Robin, nine great-grandchildren and numerous friends. His beloved sister, Nora Lee and brother Willy James preceded him in death.
