Peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, in Washington, DC, Catherine A. Parks went home to be with the Lord. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at First Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 602 N Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. Interment will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. at MD Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home (301-632-6624).
My Aunt Kate, I will miss your warm smile and positive attitude. You truly touched so many people. I know Uncle Edward will be happy to see you (the love of your life) and your dear son (Tony).
