I am so sorry to hear of Ms Bernice passing. My sincere condolences to the family. She will be missed dearly.
I am so in shock that Ms. Bernice has passed away! We had not been in touch in a very long time so this has hit me very hard. I met Bernice when living in a hi-rise apartment in Ft. Washington. My son and I used to look after her grandson when they were little boys. I’m putting all this because I would like her son to remember us and know how much she meant to us. As time goes on, you lose touch, but my sister had been in touch with her and again lost that connection a few years back. I am so very sorry to have to read this and feel very badly that I lost touch. Sincere condolences to the family.
Praying for the family during this time. Special thoughts to my sister in law Connie Bland. Keep yall hands in Gods hand and he will take care of you. Weeping may endure for a night BUT JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING. Prayer still works. Lovingly. Your sis in law. Darleen.
Lady Johnson – Thank you for all of the wonderful years at Maryland and for the wonderful times that we shared. You truly saw me ‘grow up’ in Undergraduate Admissions and encouraged me along the way through all of life’s victories and challenges. I appreciate your love and support and you know you always had mine in return. I will continue to think of you often! Your family will also continue to be in my prayers.
Love,
James

A family is a circle of love, not broken by a loss, but made stronger by the memories. We are forever blessed that God connected us to you.

I was shocked to recently hear of Bernice’s passing. My family loved Bernice soooo very much. We know she’s with the Lord, and we are praying for her family (her children — she was sooo proud of them). Our paths drifted away when we came to attend different churches, but I will never forget the love, friendship, and guidance she gave me, while we worked (and I was a returning student) at the University of Maryland at College Park. I could not have had a better friend!!! I love you, Bernice!!!!
