Devoted son of Arthur and Thessalonia Gaither, Jr; loving father of Arvel Major Smitherman; brother of Shadomian and Autumn Gaither; grandson of Edward and Thelma Hill Sr. and the late Arthur and Marie Gaither, Sr.; uncle of Joshua Ashton.
