Peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 Alethia B. West went home to be with her lord. Family and friends will gather on September 14, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, 2294 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD 20601. Interment will be private.
Dear West Family,
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Alethia. Our Family met Alethia many years ago through my sister, Rosalee Irvin. Alethia quickly became a part of our family and would often come to our Homecoming services, family events, and sometimes, she would just ride down for the weekend with Rosalee. She was always so personable, witty, and most importantly, very kind to all of us.
Please know that we loved her as a part of our family and we are praying for all of you during this time of bereavement.

My sister and my friend you most certainly will be missed.
I enjoyed knowing Alethia for over 20 years, while working together at the AFIP. She was a blessing to me, always lending an ear and giving a word of advice or encouragement. She often shared scriptures, and I know she had a trusting relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved her family, and spoke of them often with words of pride and endearment. She was witty and courageous! She will always be remembered.
