Genevieve C. Lucas departed this earthly life on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in La Plata, MD. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, February 22, at 10:00am, until time of service, 11:00am at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, 7 Industrial Park Drive, Waldorf, MD 20602. Interment will follow the service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD.

Mrs. Genevieve Lucas was truly a unique lady with a distinct voice that would get your attention. I knew her for many years via Genevieve, her daughter. She was always upbeat and friendly to all. She loved her family deeply, especially her daughter and Titus. A woman of God, whom we will truly miss. All I can say now is, “sleep on and get your rest. Family, you will see her again on the other side if you try and do your best.
